Cataracts are the leading cause of vision loss in the United States today. Determining what options are available to you for the treatment of your cataracts is very important. This booklet is designed to give you and your family the most up-to-date information about modern cataract care. Technological advancements in detecting eye disease and new micro-surgical procedures have essentially eliminated the fear associated with cataract surgery. Today cataract and lens implant surgery is performed painlessly on an outpatient basis. Hospitalization is no longer required and patients return home the same day as their treatment. The most sophisticated surgical microscopes lasers and other specialized equipment are used to treat your eye problems. Our entire staff has been selected and trained to provide you with the highest level of eye care. Our office accepts assignment for all Medicare patients. If you carry a supplemental insurance policy in addition to your Medicare coverage you will probably have very little added expense.
